For drawing out splinters, glass, insect bites, infections, and even poison ivy/oak/sumac. Besides splinters, the salve can be used for things like acne, boils, or spider bites. Can also be used to draw out deeper ingrown hairs and stubborn black heads.
This recipe is a bit involved but this salve is incredibly soothing and beneficial. First, I infuse Camellia Oil with calendula, chamomile, damiana, holy basil, hawthorne leaf + flower, lavender, licorice, and rose. The activated charcoal and multani mitti clay act as a magnet to draw out impurities. The oils, butters, herbs, and essential oils helps to soothe and calm skin from the inflammation caused by the irritant.
Place a generous amount on the irritant and cover with a band-aid or gauze. Leave on for several hours or overnight before washing off with soap and water. Repeat as needed. For removing deeper irritants, a few applications over a few days may be necessary to draw out the irritant. *This salve will stain. Keep it away from any clothes or furniture that you don't want stained.
Magically, this salve can be used for purification, banishing, cleansing, protection, warding, and even exorcism. Use in ritual to trace sigils on the forehead, body, or on your tools to enhance cleansing and protection.
